Why GRAPHIC DESIGN and TYPOGRAPHY
are important aesthetically AND functionally!

At least, it can cause embarrassment
At most, it can change history

Some people are BORN with artistic ability - others have to LEARN how to make their designs look good.

PRINCIPLES" are otherwise known as RULES
DESIGN PRINCIPLES are general rules that can guide ANYONE to creating better graphic designs.
Designer Robin Williams suggests FOUR simple principles she calls "Design for Non-Designers".

Proximity - Alignment - Repetition - Contrast
or PARC (the opposite of what it spells backwards)

An over-riding principle should be CONSISTENCY
Whatever rules you make for yourself, stick with them - and don't make anything appear accidental - go big or go home!
