It's sometimes a good idea to save your plans as an image before printing. An image can be:
  • Handed in to the HANDINS folder for pre-printing evaluation
  • Loaded into a webpage as evidence of the planning of your projects
SAVING AN IMAGE
  1. VIEW your image properly - VIEW from TOP and ZOOM EXTENTS to optimize the framing
  2. Use FILE - EXPORT - 2D Graphic
  3. Choose a FORMAT at the bottom of the dialogue
    1. PNG works well for illustrations like plans
    2. JPG may be better for photos
  4. Save the image to your tech folder using a name you'll remember for uploading later

PRINTING from SKETCHUP
Sketchup will attempt to print the CURRENT VIEW on your screen, so it's important to set things up properly to ensure a clear and readable printout.

1. SET UP YOUR VIEW
  • Make sure CAMERA PERSPECTIVE is turned off
  • Click TOP VIEW
  • Click ZOOM EXTENTS

2. FILE - PRINT SETUP

  • Choose your printer (room 204 is best for our lab)
